Today, we will do a remarkable tour that offers an enlightening exploration of Washington, DC’s most famous monuments and attractions. You will begin with reserved entry to the United States Capitol Building—headquarters to America’s legislative branch of government. Once at the Capitol enjoy a 15-minute orientation film outlining the foundation of the United States Congress then proceed to a historic guided walk-through of the Crypt, Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall. Next, you will officially meet your guide and hop aboard our comfortable, enclosed temperature controlled shuttle for a memorable journey through the National Mall. Along the way, you will stop at the White House (exterior), Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial, etc. – to learn the history behind each landmark, and to take photos of your memorable experience. Today morning post breakfast or as per the flight timing, we will pick you up in a private vehicle and drop you to the airport to board your flight to Niagara/Buffalo where we will pick you up again and drive you to your hotel in Buffalo/Niagara Falls. Today morning after breakfast, from the Niagara Falls Observation Tower, you will descend 250 feet to the base of the American Falls to hop onto the cruise. As you make your way into the belly of the Horseshoe Falls, you will feel the refreshing spray and hear the roar of her majesty as a staggering 600,000 gallons of water rush over the cliffs every single second. Hang on tight as you feel the magnitude of the churning water below you make its way down the Niagara River. If you’re still in need of more thrills, make your way to the base of the falls and climb a series of stairs up to the Crow’s Nest for even more of a multi-sensory experience before heading back to the top. You shall also go along to Goat Island where the Cave of the Winds will take you super close to the Falls.
This experience will take you 175 feet deep into the Gorge where at the bottom you will don your borrowed bright yellow poncho and specialized footwear (provided) and hike a series of wooden walkways up to the Hurricane Deck where you come face to face with the fierce base of the Bridal Veil Falls. Bring your camera to capture the rainbows that are spotted here both day and night! On top of these two exciting experiences, you will also cast your eyes on the Falls with a birds eye view at various points like: Prospect Point, Terrapin Point and many more.
