ITINERARY


At the Bagdogra Airport or station, TCI executive will be there to welcome & receive you.  From the airport, we will drive you on a scenic road directly to Darjeeling, spread in ribbons over a steep mountain ridge, surrounded by emerald-green tea plantations and towered over by the majestic Kangchenjunga at almost 9000 meters, Darjeeling is the definitive Indian hill station. Explore colonial-era architecture, visit Buddhist monasteries, and spot snow leopards and red pandas at the nearby zoo. On the steep and bustling streets winding through town, lose yourself amid an array of Himalayan faces. After arrival and C/I at the resort, enjoy the evening at leisure. We recommend spending some quality time indulging in the local culture and enjoying some local cuisine.

Today, early morning we will drive you to Tiger Hills to view sunrise over Kangchenzunga Peak. On the way back we will visit the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Later, after breakfast, we will drive again to the Japanese Temple and the Peace pagoda that showcases four avatars of Lord Buddha. We will also visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Center, Lal Kothi & Dhirdham Temple. After an astonishing day of great sightseeing, we will then return to the resort to have a relaxed evening at leisure and a comfortable overnight stay.

Today after breakfast check out your resort and drive towards Pelling, a very small Himalayan village in West Sikkim. Pelling is the nearest motor able point from Mt. Kanchendzonga the world’s third highest peak, it offers a great sunrise and all day long views of Kanchendzonga and the entire Eastern Himalayan range. After arrival and C/I at the resort, enjoy the evening at leisure. We recommend spending some quality time indulging in the local culture and enjoying some local cuisine or just sit back, relax and spend some quality time with your loved ones at the resort as you soak in some memorable refreshing views of the scenery around.

Today after breakfast, we look forward to private sightseeing in an around Pemayangtse visiting the beautiful Rimbi Falls and Rimbi rock garden.  Spend some memorable moments with your loved ones here. We will also visit the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, The lake is regarded as one of the most sacred lakes of Sikkim and remains hidden in the rich forest cover. We will then move on to the  Kanchendzonga falls which are believed to be  originating high up in the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga, Also explore the Pemayangtse Monastery – the second oldest monastery of Sikkim & Darap Village. We will then return to the resort to have a relaxed evening and a comfortable overnight stay.

Post breakfast, we will C/O from Pelling resort and drive south towards Kalimpong in West Bengal. This bustling bazaar town sprawls along a saddle-shaped mountain ridge overlooking the roaring Teesta River and lorded over by the summit of Khangchenzunga. It’s a must-see as it does boast of splendid Himalayan views, Buddhist monasteries, colonial-era architecture and a fascinating nursery industry, all linked by some fine hikes. After arrival at your nature resort, relax, refresh and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure with your loved ones and indulge in the resort’s activities to make the most out of your day.

We will enjoy the day in Kalimpong today with a pleasurable day of sightseeing in and around the town. Start off with a visit to the Delo Hill which is an extended nature park with very well maintained gardens, fountains and views of Mt. Kengchenzunga. Next have some sporty time on the alluring terrains and lush green meadows of the Army Golf Course. Witness some history as we take you to Dr. Graham’s Homes formerly called the St. Andrew’s Colonial Homes which was founded in 1900 by reverend Dr. John Anderson Graham a missionary of the Church of Scotland, who had settled in Kalimpong. We will also visit Durgamandir & Durpin dara hill and not to be missed Kalimpong Monastery and Flower Nursery before making our way back to the resort.

All good things have to come to an end but not before you grab a sumptuous breakfast at the resort before checking out as our representative will be waiting at the for you with your private car to assist you well in time to drive you to the airport or station in Bagdogra.

  • Tickets for the toy train if included in this package are subject to availability and else a cost equal to the cost of the tickets of the toy train one way ride will be refunded back to the clients. Journey will be covered by private vehicle as an alternative to sightseeing places.

  • The package does not include any permit charges to certain areas if included in your package for example Nathula Pass, Zero Point, Thangu, Gurudongmar Lake etc however TCI will fully assist the clients in getting this organized beforehand if needed with applicable charges. To obtain certain permits, it is mandatory for all adults to carry original ID proof (PAN Card or Driving License or Passport or other Govt of India ID proof) or Valid Passport with VISA & ILP. Please do prepare accordingly.
  • Certain points in East Indian itineraries if included in your package like Nathula, Zero Point, Gurudongmar, Baba Mandir etc may be closed due to road conditions / heavy snow / other reasons. These conditions are considered force mejure and we have no control over that, and no refunds and deductions can be claimed under such circumstances. Similarly, in case of any route diversion due to any kind of force mejure, extra charges may apply that will be needed to be paid by the clients directly to the driver. It may also be mandatory to fill-up and sign trip sheets at the point of embarkation and disembarkation on a daily basis to any such points of interest that require such by local laws. Vehicles may also be needed to be changed from time to time due to local syndicate norms and government rules.
