ITINERARY


At Geneva Airport, TCI representative will be waiting for you with your private car who will then drive you directly to your hotel. Welcome to Geneva, Embedded between nearby Alpine peaks and the hilly terrain of the Jura, the French-speaking city of Geneva lies in the bay where the Rhone leaves Lake Geneva. With its humanitarian tradition and cosmopolitan flair, the European seat of the UNO and headquarters of the Red Cross is known as the capital of peace.

Today post breakfast, discover the International Geneva through the world’s peacemaking organizations. Hear all about the peaceful site and diplomatic places such as Red Cross, UN, UNICEF and WTO. Let yourself enjoy the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva, its attraction as the famous fountain Jet d’eau and the flower clock. Explore Geneva old town on our mini-train, you will be taking a step back in time with Saint Peter’s cathedral: known as the church where John Calvin gave his inspiring sermons during the mid-16th century. The imposing Romanesque-Gothic church with a neoclassical facade still dominates the center of the international Swiss town. On this stroll, you will also explore Place Bourg-de-four, original market place, the arsenal and the town hall; lose yourself in the grandeur and beauty of this culturally influential town. The rest of the evening will be at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Geneva hotel.

Today after breakfast, we will drive you to the railway station in your private vehicle and then you will board the super fast nonstop train to Montreux. Upon arrival in Montreux, Please make your way to your hotel which will be at a short walk from the station. After arrival and C/I, proceed on your own to explore the Chateau de Chillon which is on the outskirts of the city, spend some time visiting the magnificent structure. This medieval fortress is situated directly on the shores of Lake Geneva and is one of Switzerland’s most recognizable attractions. Back in Montreux, take time to sample a traditional Swiss hot chocolate and indulge in local culture. TCI’s destination experts will help plan an evening for you here. Refresh overnight at your Montreux Hotel.

Today, board your train from Montreaux and upon arrival in Zermatt, C/I and then make your own way to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise which is the highest sightseeing point in Europe which is accessible by cableway. The Matterhorn Express gondola brings you to Furi where you change to the large cableway which takes you via Trockener Steg to the Klein Matterhorn. Finally, up there you take a lift to get to the highest sightseeing platform offering a panoramic view of the Alps including the 38 4,000-meter peaks (13,120+ ft) surrounding Zermatt. At the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise it also is possible to visit the Glacier Palace which is 15 meters under the glacier’s surface. Return to your hotel and rest overnight in Zermatt.

This morning, we recommend to spend the first half of the day by touring the village on your own, we recommend the following route and will assist with planning your morning in Zermat. Walk via Bahnhofstrasse which is the main street to the Kirchplatz, the church, on to the Bergsteigerfriedhof which is the mountaineer’s cemetery and then on to the Kirchbrücke, the church bridge from where you can take the best shots of the Matterhorn. On your way, you will see several traditional wooden chalets as some people still live there and the typical grain stores. Return to your hotel, C/O and then proceed to the railway station to board your evening train to Lucerne. Welcome to Lucerne, the gateway to central Switzerland, sited on Lake Lucerne, is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. Refresh overnight in Lucerne by the lakeside*.

Today after breakfast, we will depart by coach for the breath-taking journey to Mt. Titlis begins. Enjoy the spectacular sight of the glacier’s deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders from the revolving cable car ROTAIR. At the top of Mt. Titlis which is at 10’000 ft. above sea level, a high alpine panorama awaits you. You will have magnificent views of the Alps from the restaurants or the sun terrace. Visit the Ice Grotto or take a ride with the chairlift Ice Flyer, which brings you close to the crevasses. Enjoy also the Fun Lift in the snow and the Cliff Walk, Europe’s highest suspension bridge. All included however weather and snow permitting! The entire tour with be conducted with the assistance of a multi-lingual professional and caring guide. We will then return back to Lucerne where you may enjoy a refreshing evening stroll and refresh overnight at your hotel.

This morning after breakfast, a TCI representative will be waiting for you at the hotel lobby who will then drive you to the train station in Lucerne. Board your train and arrive in Zurich where meet and greet our representative who will then drive you to your hotel in Zurich. Welcome to Zurich, a metropolis of experiences by the water, with a magnificent view of the snowcapped Alps on the horizon, Zurich offers a unique mixture of attractions with over 50 museums and more than 100 art galleries, international fashion labels and Zurich designs, and the most flamboyant and lively life in Switzerland. Culturally vibrant, efficiently run and attractively set at the meeting of river and lake, Zürich is regularly recognized as one of the world’s most livable cities. TCI’s representatives will help you plan an efficient evening from multiple choices this evening if needed.

Today post a wonderful breakfast, our excursion starts with a comfortable ride in a modern deluxe coach on scenic routes to a most enchanting alpine world of the Bernese Oberland. In Lauterbrunnen you will take the Wengernalp rack railway for a 45-minute trip up through idyllic alpine meadows and forests to the little village of Wengen, and then further on up to Kleine Scheidegg at a height of 2061 m or 6762 ft. Here you will find yourself in front of the most magnificent mountain backdrop of Mts Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The imposing Eiger North Face is within touching distance. Here you will have time to relax or do some hiking on the well-signed hiking trails for all levels of competence. The unaccompanied trip back down to the valley follows the north-west slopes of the Eiger to the famous resort of Grindelwald. After a stunning day out to Interlaken & Grindelwald, we will then return to Zurich where you can refresh overnight.

All great journeys have to come to an end but not before you grab a wonderful breakfast at your hotel and then later we will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the airport.

TERMS

  • For Geneva city tour, please note that the mini train is not operating in January, February, in heavy rain and during special demonstrations. In this case, the old town will be a walking tour. No food and drinks are included
